With a structured schedule you can get more done than you think

Hey friends,

this is going to be a short but important and practical article:

I feel the need of explaining how to manage time as a solopreneur while having a 9 to 5 job.

For many people it seems quite difficult to start a small business, because they are overwhelmed by their job, life and other daily duties.

Trust me I felt the same until I realized it's different. I wish someone told me this before, that's why I'm gon tell you ;)

I want to prove you the opposite!

All you need is ONE HOUR a day

Time is the most precious good we have.
With the right management and planning we can accomplish great things and way more than we think and expect.

I created a chart as you can see below. That's my average daily schedule.
You can see how my hours are spend during the week.
I think everyone with a 9 to 5 can relate to this. Students might also relate since their time table is also packed with lectures and study time.

This schedule describes Monday to Friday.
The weekends are different. But we come to that later. First I want you to focus on the "circle of work" as I like to call the chart.

24 hours divided in different jobs, taks and duties

Dive In:

A day during the week is divided in 3 blocks:

  1. 9 to 5
  2. Gym
  3. Evening
"One hour of extra work must be done and is not negotionable"

In Numbers:

Let's calculate:

24 hours - 8 hours sleep = 16 hours

16 hours - 9 hours work = 7 hours

7 hours - 90 mins gym = 5,5 hours

5,5 hours - 30 mins commuting (drive to work, to gym back home) = 5,0 hours

5 hours - 1 hour cooking and eating = 4 hours

4 hours left.

4 hours only. To be even more exact and strict let's say 3 hours are free, because we lose time in the morning and evening to fresh up, dress up, clean our apartment, go to our car etc.

That's pretty tough, innit?

To know that only 3 hours are free in a day.

To get ahead I MUST USE one hour for my future, my project, my side hustle.
Call it what you want.
Time must be used wisely and to "escape the matrix" I need to be super carfeul how I spend it.

The Theory:

"It's a mindset thing"

I need and want to get work done.

Daily.
Repeatedly.
With small improvements.

I tell myself that this one hour will create and realize my dreams!

Who said starting a business would be easy?

And yes I know it's hard.
I know it's frustrating and tough to stay motivated after such a long day.

Extra tip: Delete feelings and emotions. At least to an certain extent.
Just do it man. Don't think. It's a marathon and long-term investment- for you and your dream.

Put in work = Results. No secret sauce, just simple basics.

"Champions are made in overtime"

The Weekend:

On the weekend I recommend also to have a clear managed system.

You basically have 18 hours more to use!

Take a good rest and relax.
Do all the stuff like groceries, wasching clothes, clean your apartment, meet your friends on the weekend.

Plan during the week what you are going to cover on saturday and sunday.
Use the free mind for extra creative and productive work on your hustle.

Summary:

If you're working full-time and want to start your small business then you need good time-management skills.

Let me tell you: All you need is ONE HOUR a day to spend on your business.

It's really simple and easy. Small steps added up will build your project.
Don't underestimate little progress.

If you plan and work for one hour chances are high you enjoy it and spend even more time on it. Better for you. It's important to start and stick to the daily rhythm.

ONE. HOUR. ONLY. EVERYDAY.

I want to keep this article short, because this topic is super broad and wide.
I hope this article motivated you and you realize that you need to spend your time wisely and espeically you don't need much. Just one hour of focused work is enough.

The basis daily motto is: "All you need is one hour".

Let's go! You got this! I believe in you!

Enjoy life and bless up :)
