My Morning Routine

Hey friends!

In today's article I want to share with you my new morning routine.
I never thought I would have a mentionable productive morning routine hehe.

No long introduction- let's hop in and check out why I actually came up with a structured morning routine:

The idea behind it is pretty simple: I just wanted to start 2024 differently. I just wanted to do something new. Watching so many Instagram Reels of people with fancy routines I got inspired and thought this might be the right thing to try - especially I never paid attention to my routine and it would be something I would do for the very first time ever since my first year in college. Additionally I always feel like I need more time because my week is fully packed plus I want more freedom too.

My current week looks like this:

  • 9 to 5 from Monday to Friday
  • I hit the gym 4-5 times
  • Twice a week I have an almost 14 hour work day
(leave the appartment at 7:30 am and come back at 9 pm)
  • Saturday & Sunday work (cooking classes, side hustles)

That means no days off and every single day is packed with work, tasks and goals #hustleandgrind

I thought what could be my ideal morning routine serving all my needs?

I came up with a great routine, which helps me to stay calm, focused and energized all day.
Check out the routine down below and get ready for the gamechanger-habit.

Ever morning starts in the night before

The Routine:

  • I wake up at 6 am. This means I have 90 mins before I need to get off to work. This leads to a stress-free morning start. There is no need to rush. I can literally chill and relax.
  • I wash my face and brush my teeth.
  • Morning-Stretch: I stretch my body for just 5 mins and do 3x10 Push-Ups.
Afterwards I just feel light! I still can't believe it. The effect of the stretch can't be described in words. I just know it gives me a super rested and at the same time energetive vibe. Body-Mind-Soul-Connection
  • Breakfast. I was never a breakfast guy and rarely could eat anything in the morning but a coffee and a banana haha. Often due to lack of time and rush tbh. Now, because of my workout goals I need to eat more meals, so a pimped bowl of oats fits perfectly into my new morning start.

By now around 30-40 minutes passed. I have one hour to go before I need to leave my apartment.

Now I check my phone for the first time and check mails and organize my first part of the day. Sometimes I need to answer text messages or mails early so I can do it right now. Ususally I also check my IG and see if there is anything urgent to do right away.

  • Reading. After checking my phone and IG I still have time left. I read a book for around 15 mins- currently it's "Atomic Habits". The reading emphasizes the productive and good vibez in the morning. It helps me to level up my mind for the day ahead. And as I mentioned above lately my days are long and packed.
  • Wait and do nothing. Usually after all I still have 20 mins left and literally wait to go to work. I just do nothing. Just being calm. Breating in. Breathing out. Count my blessings. Do positive affirmations and practice gratitude. Manifest my dreams. Tell myself I'm the greatest. All in all I create "the world is mine" thoughts.

This kind of start is the foundation of a great day!

It feels like luxury

How we invest our time defines us

Of course this morning routine requires one important factor: Going early to bed. Usually I go to bed / sleep at 11 pm or midnight. On average I sleep 6 hours during the week and on Sundays I sleep 10 hours 😅.

Yes, this might be not the best rhythm, but it does help me to get all my jobs done. That's currently my main focus and I'm sure this routine will also change. For now tho it's working perfectly.

I want to emphasize that I like this type of packed days, weeks. I feel I'm living the entereprenurs dream and love the hustle. From appointment to appointment. It gives me energy rather than burning me out. Also I know that I can skip my gym sessions and do them on the weekend, so I have shorter days during the week. See, I stay flexible, but diciplined on the day2day.

Important: Don't force yourself to a morning routine or a lifestyle which does not suite you. Your lifestyle and routines should empower you. Make sure you try out different ways to find out which one is yours.

I hope you might consider waking up a little bit earlier than you do now and include some new habits to get more out of your day. I can only recommend.

Let me know and comment what is your morning routine like!

Enjoy life and bless up :)
