in this article I'm going to talk about how to sell your product online. To summarize the current state: We have a product which is ready to sell. In the previous chapter we covered how to shoot product pictures and now we are at the last stage of selling a product online! What an exciting journey it's been so far.
Let's build our onlineshop to start making money!

1 Register your webshop
What seems like rocket science for beginners is not that difficult in reality, because there is a great solution: It's called shopify!
It is an online shop system which is build like an automatic ready to use platform. Yes, of course it requires work and effort to setup the shop, but there are no coding or programming skills needed!
You just go to shopify.com and get registered . The yearly fee for a basic plan costs 324$ (Jan 2024).
In my opinion it's kinda expensive, but still worth it. There is also an option of paying monthly (around 30$).
2 Register your domain
Ok. Now we have our webshop. In the next step we want to register a domain. That's gon' be the name of your shop. Use your brand name, name of your company. Go to a domain provider and register your name (around 10$/year).
Once you registered the name go to shopify and connect the name with your shop. It's quite simple, cause all you need to do is follow the instructions.
3 Set up your shop
There are literally articles which got like 45 mins reading time- for example a step by step manual how to start and set up your shop.
I highly recommend to use such an article and just follow the instructions. By investing time on the platform and playing around you learn pretty fast.
An alternative to learn more about shopify is watching tutorials on YouTube. I would always recommend to learn as much as possible and watching and reading about shopify / your online shop platform.
Once you have a basic foundation of knowledge you will improve and learn with time. The motto is learning by doing.
All in all it's a straight forward self-explanatory platform.

Let me briefly give some important facts and points to keep in mind when bulding and setting up your shop:
- Clear product pictures (less is more)
- An appealing product description (start with the problem of your dream customer and then present the benefits of your product as the solution)
- A well designed and pretty landing page (your customer needs to know immediately what your shop is about)
- Clear call to actions
- Create product categories
- Obey the legal stuff (imprint, gdpr)
Important:
I would also suggest to make a test order. Just to see and feel what your customers experience when ordering in your shop. This way you can also check if everything goes right (order income, payment, delivery).
