50 Day Challenge UPDATE 5
More than one moth is over! After 30 days into the challenge the results become clear but also the things which still do not improve.
Hey guys! More than one month is over and it becomes clear what is working well and what is not working at all. This week was all in all better than the previous one. I'll give you briefly the summary first of the single rules and afterwards my concluding thoughts. Let's go:
Writing: I journal everyday and it became quite essential to my daily routines. I do this since the beginning of the year and most often I write a full page on word. It usually takes me around 15 minutes. I check on my weekly to do list, reflect on my current thoughts and it helps me to stay on track.
Reading: I admit I did not read much books in the last weeks. I do not like to read fiction which means I prefer reading something which makes me smarter. I read more blogs and articles online which help me to improve. I'd say I read whatever I need right now.
Drawing or any other skill: I did not draw anything or revised my Spanish. Agin like reading, I switched the rule into what skill I need the most right now. In the beginning of the challenge I struggled with creating reels for my instagram. So I watched many tutorials on shooting videos, editing them and which apps to use. After that I was busy building my online shop, so I watched a bunch of tutorials on how to start on shopify. Right now I am working on how to shoot product pictures. Again: I spend time on the particular skill I need the most right now. Usually it takes me around 4 days (around 20 hours) of learning and getting familiar with the basics. The rest is learning and improving by doing.
Waking up at 8 am: Since I had many appointments I woke up early almost everyday. And I find the best thing in waking up early is the joy of taking a nap in the afternoon 😂.
Sports: Not regular. I went to the gym 2 times and done 2 home work outs. That's it. No time and not in the mood because other things had a much higher priority. I would say just stay flexible and don't be too hard to yourself. I did not stay at home and watched hours of Netflix. I was busy with other stuff so the time spent was still valuable nah I mean. In these type of cases I find it is okay to skip or change the routine. The goal is to be productive and contribute.
Daily vlogs: I think right now after making 30 short daily reels I improved for sure. I realize the more time you spent and the more effort you put in, they work quite well. If you just put some videos together only to get it done for the day the outcome is different. Means low views. This week I missed out to post and I am 3 reels behind. Everyday was the same and again I wanted to make a good job. Not just get it done, posting any random stuff. So now I go for quality over quantity. In the beginning it makes sense just to post so you get familiar with all the editing apps and the process of creating videos. But after a while you'll see what kind is your style and you focus more on the quality.
This was the fifth update. After following all the rules I can say for myself that staying flexible is one of the most important keys. Just put in the work which gets you closer to your goal.
I'll see you in the next week and wish ya'll a productive one!
Enjoy life and bless up!
