50 Day Challenge UPDATE 3
After three weeks I have my first moment of realization! Check out the article and find out what conclusions I found after completing 21 days of the challenge.
Wassup fellas? Three weeks done! First impression: This week had a way better vibe than previous week. Imma keep the introduction short and will go straight to the evaluation of the rules as usual. Today I also share some of my thoughts which I been thinking about while doing the challenge. You will find them after the rule-analysis. Let's go:
Total fail: Aiight, this week I did not wake up at 8 on any single day. I go to sleep at around 3 am and waking up that early is not my thing. Especially when I work from home and I don't have to show up somewhere. It gets annoying sometimes, because I like to go to the gym early and have much from the day- but lately I'm back in nightmode and enjoy working till 2-3 am. These shifts come in phases, so probably right when the challenge ends I will wake up super early 😂. Shizzle, as long as I get my shit done I'm good.
Easy and most consistent: Yes, you probably guessed it right: Writing and reading. All good all the same. I enjoy writing a lot and reading before going to sleep is one of the best routines one can have. Probably I am going to write an article about the benefits of reading before going to sleep. Stay tuned! :)
Work out: Is pretty good. Like usual. This week I went to the gym again to intensify my training. And I also pay attention to my nutrition. Everything fine so far.
I had to say NO! Last week was the first time I was in a situation where I had to say no to alcohol. Met a friend, went to a nice bar and I ordered an alcohol-free cocktail. I swear it might be the very first time in my life 😂. Except from this situation there was actually no moment of the need to drink or the feeling like hey I'm missing something. But I realized how normal and how frequent I (one) drinks alcohol. Not to get drunk but alcohol is alcohol even if its just one drink or one beer. Very interesting to observe.
Drawing: Still sucks! I do a lot of calligraphy and every heading on my notepad looks now extra fancy and on fleek 😂 but apart from that I do not draw much and the whole process just sucks. Like my skills are bad as f#ck and I have to invest a lot of time to improve- but again, it is more a thing I do when I'm bored like crazy (and only then I do enjoy it) It becomes clear, that this goal does not matter to me and I think from next week imma start improving my Spanish skills. I see way more benefits and especially joy! #stayflexible.
Daily vlogging: I admit, last week the vibez were a little mixed- but this week I gained new motivation and invested some time to find inspiration. I tested a lot of different videos this week, from voiceover videos to videos heavily edited with speed adjustments. I think I am getting better and better and next week I will drop my first very own voiceover. That way I get the opportunity to publish my own quotes. It's a win win situation. I never really knew what to do with my own motivational quotes, except just having them for myself. And this is the prove that after doing something new doors will open. You gotta put work in first and get in action. I'm honest before the challenge I never had the idea of doing that but all of a sudden it made sense, like hey this is the perfect moment. Instead of using other smart quotes as a voiceover- you can start using your own. I like this development a lot and I think this testing of different styles help me improve my skills and find my own.
Reflective Thoughts:
Aiight, as mentioned before here are some of my (new) thoughts and realizations over the past three weeks:
If you consciously count every single day, journal every day, you realize the time flies super fast. Every moment is important and defines the next one. What's good and beautiful about that fact is, that every day is a new chance. Take it. You can start anytime and improve and change the direction. It makes every day kinda special even if everything seems the same.
It does not matter how fast you go. It is not about speed. It is about direction
Counting the days and writing down the date of each day make you AWARE that inaction is no option at all. Action is the only thing that matters. It don't matter how fast you go. It is not about speed. It is about direction. As long it is forward and aims to your goal, you are doing fine.
All good things in life need time- Â (from building routines, habits, developing skills to starting a family and having kids) it is a marathon. And to live day by day and the motto 1 percent better than yesterday makes it beautiful. You really live the moment and start enjoying the process. You enjoy to see yourself improve.
This was my most important conclusion in the week (more on reflective thoughts will come in the final update after the challenge!) I'm looking forward for next week and wish you all the best!
Enjoy life and bless up!
Sahil :)
